Nikki graduated in 1996 with a bachelor in Communications and Journalism. Nikki went on to play basketball overseas in Australia, Russia and Greece and then came back to the states and tried out for the WNBA. After try-outs with Utah Starzz, LA Sparks, Detroit Shock, Houston Comets and Charlotte Stings she was invited to WNBA Exposure Camp and offered to go to Developmental League. Nikki felt God leading her to full time ministry and moved to Ohio with some of her athlete friends. They began outreaching to youth at school assemblies where God put it on her heart to begin ministering to kids full time in the city. Nikki met her husband Kevin while attending Cincinnati Vineyard where they were involved in outreach programs serving in soup kitchens in Cincinnati. Nikki also began partnering with Pleasant Vineyard Ministries Summer Camp and was able to bring kids from the city in Over-the-Rhine to the country where they enjoyed rock climbing, paintball, horseback riding, go kart racing, swimming and archery. These children were able to enjoy the great outdoors sitting around a campfire learning about Jesus during devotionals. In addition to being PVM's urban coordinator she also took on the role of the L.I.T. (Leaders in Training) program staff leader. She works with 8-9 grade children training them in discipleship, Bible study, team-building, and planning, as well as participating in PVM's variety of camp activities. Nikki also coaches basketball for Kids Club in Over-the-Rhine during the fall/winter months. Nikki and Kevin are expecting their first child in November, but that has not slowed her down. She will continue her duties both as coordinator and staff leader. Nikki's love for the Lord is the center of everything she dedicates her time to and is an inspiration and blessing to every life she comes in contact with.
We love you Nikki!
